DRYING FLIES

I was tying some buzzers one day and you know how hard it is to varnish them with out making a mess well I found a way of holding them firmly so that they don’t move about and make a mess one day my wife was sewing something and she came to the end of the cotton reel and asked me if I wanted it. It was one of those plastic ones I looked at it for a long time and then came up with this idea a buzzer varnisher and dryer it worked a treat all you have to do is stick the hook to the inside of the rim of the cotton reel so that the eye comes over the edge to the outside of the cotton reel making sure it is stuck firmly into the reel but without pushing the barb all the way through now you are ready to start varnishing the hook should hold for at least four applications of the varnish and then just leave them to dry the cotton reel should hold at least six buzzers at a time I hope this information will help all you fly tyers out there
