This Website is all about fly fishing in North Wales. The object is to show you all the different places to fish especially the Ogwen Valley. This is my local fishing area and it has some good fishing spots for flybait

There are four lakes that you can fish, and they are located about five miles off the Ogwen River.

The fish in the river are: Salmon, Sea Trout and Wild Brown Trout.
Ogwen Lake is one of the lakes that you can fish, it is stocked well every season with Rainbow Trout, and also Wild Brown Trout.

Also on this site you can find out how to tie your own flies, you can have a go at tying the "Cats Whiskers" step by step guide.

You can also check up on the Hints and Tips page where you can find some helpful and interesting information.

There is another part where you can see some other examples I have done in the past. You can use your imagination to make your own.

There is also some good fly bait fishing at Ogwen Lake, as you can see from the above pictures.

Two local men, fishing at Ogwen Lake: "Ffrancon Thomas" (in the blue coat) from Bethesda and "Dewi Owen" (in the orange coat) from Gerlan.
Ffrancon Thomas caught two rainbows of about five pounds each, while fishing with power bait.

These pictures where taken a few seasons ago. Pictures taken by Jock Buchanan of Carneddi.
